Presentation of the regulator DRC 10
Modularity
- Parameter
setting:
- The regulator in full version can simultaneously control a
cold ceiling, a fan coil unit, lighting in modulation and shutters. The
different configurations can be obtained by simple parameter setting
using the same tool. A light version, cheaper, meets the same
functionalities as the full version except the shutters control.
- Peripherals:
- Many peripherals can be connected to the module:
- The room and water temperature sensors be in 0-10V or
NTC20K
- The valve actuator can be in 220V or in 24V, pulse wide
modulation, floating or modulation 0-10V
- The fan may be controlled by the speed selection (1, 2
or 3) but can also be controlled by a modulated signal 0-10V
Fast and economic integration
- Assembly:
- The DRC10 regulator can be assembled directly in a false
ceiling or a false floor without adding additional case.
- Peripherals:
-
- For the temperature measurement, the module can work
with inexpensive passive sensor NTC20KΩ.
- For the condensation alarm, the condensation sensor is
directly connected to regulator. No additional threshold module is
necessary
- During a building restoration, its great modularity
makes it possible to keep the majority of the existing peripherals.
- Parameter setting:
- During the room arrangement or building conversion, the
absence of programming allows a quick and easy setting of the regulator
to be adapted to the new configuration.
- Digital output technology:

- All the digital outputs of the regulator, in
24V or 220V, are equipped with an electronic device. It enables the
output when the supply voltage is null and release it when the current
in the output peripheral is null. This device makes it possible to
appreciably decrease the current’s peak and over voltage.
- Quiet regulator: The absence of
electromagnetic relay makes the DRC10 completely quiet. It can thus be
installed in buildings such as hotel rooms, recording studios.
- Checking of the correct behavior of the regulator:

- Each input and output is equipped with a LED showing
its state.
- The regulator is equipped with an identification LED.
- Bus
-
- The flexibility of the bus allows an
integration of a great number of modules. Indeed not less than
3900 modules can be addressed simultaneously. The various segments,
connected between them by amplifiers, can connect 200 modules over a
maximum length of 1200 Mr.
- The communication between regulators is done
via the open protocol “Modbus” in RS 485. This choice allows a
cheap wiring bus by using for example the cable “JHstH” without
halogen. It also guarantees the quality of the communications thanks to
an error rate practically nil.
- Dew point calculation:
- The regulator computes the dew point from the room humidity
and temperature. If the value is higher than the water temperature
injected into the cold ceilings, the module will close all its valves
of cold. This technique avoids the needs of a window contact and, if
necessary, allows it to anticipate condensation.
- Operating schedule:
- The regulator has an autonomous internal clock
which can maintain the time even during an interruption of current for
at least one week. Thanks to this clock, 3 operating schedules (for the
regulation, lighting and the shutters) give the operating mode of the
regulator. Each schedule offers up to 4 commutations per day.
